Candidate Filing Period for City of Fontanelle Special Election

The filing period for candidates interested in one of the three available city council seats in Fontanelle, IA is open. Candidate filing deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022. The Special City Election will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Voter pre-registration deadline is Monday, November 28, 2022. You may file an absentee ballot request with the Adair County Auditor’s office at any time. The deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed is Monday, November 28, 2022. The last day to vote absentee in the Auditor’s Office is Monday, December 12, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
